J’adore Versus Juicy Couture: Which Eau de Parfum is Better?
by Stephanie McCarthy
Then it came to me. I smiled with acknowledgment and relief. Yes, of course. It was the eau de parfum of Juicy Couture. This is basically a younger and livelier version of J’adore. She’s more fruity, playful, and less powdery. Moreover, because she has less layers, she instantly smells wonderful, whereas you have to be much more patient with J’adore as she moves past the woodiness of the vanilla and finally reaches her more delicate and floral heart in her dry down. She is worth the wait though. The payoff is amazing.
So which one do you pick? While both of them are great, I prefer Juicy Couture. She fits my personality and temperament better, Like me, she’s young at heart, more impatient, and restless. She wants to smell good right away so she can make a good first impression on someone. On the other hand, J’adore is older and wiser. She’s also more patient, introverted, and takes a while to warm up to others. Both J’adore and Juicy Couture have lily and tuberose in them. They have that woodsy vanilla note too. The both of them smell like Aqua Net hairspray and flowers—especially J’adore. This is a present-smelling combination that’s not for everyone and it takes some getting used to. Furthermore, this soothing blend reminds me of my best friend from the third grade’s mom.
You can buy the most affordable version of Juicy Couture here: Juicy Couture Eau de Parfum Spray, 3.4 oz, $43.74 Walmart.

One of the times when I was exercising a couple of weeks ago, an annoying scent began emanating from my wrists. It was the three spritzes of Christian Dior’s eau de parfum sample of J’adore. The vanilla in it was starting to bug me. It had to be. It was a metallic-like smell of wood gone wrong that was very similar to the bamboo in Nest’s Bamboo & Jasmine. The scent lingered for quite a while before disappearing later on in my work-out routine, However, that wasn’t all in it that was bothering me. J’adore was giving me a weird déjà vu. I had been here before with another perfume, but that other one smelled far better. I racked my brain, trying to figure out which scent in my collection was the superior one to J’adore as I did my knee lifts and brisk walking back and forth in my workout.
