Bath & Body Works Shower Gels That Are Perfect for Spring

Bath & Body Works’ Pure Wonder is an exasperating scent to describe. Although there’s no cantaloupe in it, that’s mainly the sweet and fruity scent I get upon the first sniff. Because it’s on the lighter side, that may be one of the reasons why this scent is so frustrating to describe. The white winter-themed packaging with the multi-colored pastel glittery snow blossoms doesn’t change the fact that this scent is more on the subtle side and is more appropriate for spring. Thus, I find it very strange that it’s available right now. Although rose̓ is listed in the scent description of this, I don’t get any of that here. That kind of a sparkling, fizzy, and carbonated note is more present in the brand’s Moonlit Martini and Winter Candy Apple scents. Moreover, I detect a happy and uplifting floral note in this that doesn’t fit with the jasmine that Bath & Body Works mentions is in here. I’m accustomed to this classic and timeless floral note being more like the richer and fuller scents that you get from the eau de toilettes of Henri Bendel’s Jasmine & Tuberose and Burberry’s Brit. The more I get into the scent, the more I get a muskiness from the amber note listed. Were my eyes deceiving me? I could’ve sworn that I got a subtle sparkle from the formulation of this pretty light-colored peachy pink body wash. This is perfect for more reserved women of any age who prefer their scents to be more understated ones. You can buy it here: Bath & Body Works’ Pure Wonder Body Wash, 10 oz, $9.99 at Mercari.

I don’t really get the raspberry nectar that the brand states is evident in their Butterfly scent. I get more of a fruity, peachy, and creamy scent that is indicative of the flower plumeria. I also get a tartness that smells like the raspberry lychee sorbet that is present in Bath & Body Works’ Endless Weekend scent. Moreover, the tanginess that I’ve been discussing reminds me of the Sour Patch Kids candy. I only get a hint of the powdery and slightly sweet iris note that is mentioned in the scent description. I really enjoyed using this in the shower during these cooler months. While it’s a very present scent that remains on your skin well after you shower, it’s not too overbearing. Therefore, it’s the perfect scent for spring and early summer when the days are starting to get lighter and brighter. The white and lavender packaging with gold, blue, and purple butterflies is joyful and upbeat as you look forward to the promise of an early spring. Here is the purchasing information for it: Bath & Body Works’ Butterfly Shower Gel, 10 oz, $14.99 at Walmart.
